Position Summary

Bristol Myers Squibb has a rich history in Neuroscience focused on developing innovative medicines to help people living with Neurodegenerative and Neuromuscular conditions. Bristol Myers Squibb currently markets a product in Neurology and plans to re-enter the Psychiatry market with a focus on patients suffering with schizophrenia. Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director, HCP Marketing, Alternative Care Strategy Schizophrenia to spearhead marketing efforts for psychiatry with a focus on the professional care network outside of the office setting, i.e. Community Mental Health Centers, hospitals and others. This role will drive in-line marketing and promotional strategy, coordinate efforts with out-patient HCP marketing team, lead key commercial projects from strategy through execution and will collaborate with cross-functional leaders across Sales, Training, Medical, Market Access, Business Insights & Analytics (BI&A) and Patient Access Support Services (PASS) to ensure robust strategic planning and strong execution. We are looking for a dynamic, performance-driven leader with a challenger mindset, who cultivates a team-based, collaborative environment that promotes innovation and appropriate risk taking. This role report directly to the Executive Director, Healthcare Professional Marketing, Neuroscience.

Key Responsibilities- include but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy and launch plan with focus on the Alternative Care Channels : These include Community Mental health centers and hospitals. Stakeholders are Psychiatrists, NP/PAs, case and social workers, psychologists and pharmacists

  • The role requires close collaboration with the HCP marketing team focused on the out-patient universe, with cross-functional teams including business insights and analytics (BI&A), medical affairs, consumer marketing, sales, and regulatory.

  • Conduct market research, stakeholder insights, and competitive analysis to identify unmet needs, clinical preferences, and market opportunities in the schizophrenia management team.

  • Develop engaging and informative educational materials, resources, and tools to support this unique stakeholder group in treating and managing patients with schizophrenia effectively.

  • Collaborate with medical affairs and clinical development teams to translate scientific data and clinical evidence into compelling messaging and communication strategies tailored to these audiences.

  • Lead the development of product and disease state messaging, and sales collateral to effectively communicate product features, benefits, and differentiation across multiple channels including print, digital, events, and peer-to-peer engagements.

  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, track awareness, engagement, and prescribing behavior, and optimize strategies based on performance insights.

  • Effectively partner with Agency of Record, providing clear expectations, guidance and feedback to agency, ensuring rigor in marketing excellence.

Qualifications & Experience

  • BS/BA degree required. MBA preferred.

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in marketing within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with a proven track record of success in launching and commercializing pharmaceutical products.

  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to translate insights into actionable marketing strategies and tactics.

  • Strong leadership skills with experience leading cross-functional teams, managing complex projects, and driving results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Previous people leadership experience, with a track record of success in developing talent and building winning teams.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment with a thorough understanding of FDA regulations and guidelines governing pharmaceutical marketing.

  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.

  • Passion for making a positive impact on patient lives and advancing mental health treatment, advocacy, and access to quality care.

  • Neuroscience experience strongly preferred.

  • U.S. launch experience strongly preferred.

  • Willing to travel up to 25%
